2002scape bugs

Going to follow conker's style and try to maintain a thread of mine. If it becomes cumbersome, feel free to close it and I'll start a new one when new things are found. I am running the same build of RSC-C client he has, so I'm going to not include some graphical issues I've seen.
1. Big net fishing - does not appear to ever roll catching multiple things in one cast.
2. Big net fishing - allows for bass to be caught before level 46 (I only started at 23, but I suspect cod also might be able to be caught early (16-22), but untested.
3. Able to climb through the wall up the stairs from the locked skeleton closet in Draynor Manor. (Wouldn't be surprised if this was authentic to avoid people getting stuck if they couldn't figure out how to make the door only rely on the key from one side.)
4. Shield of Arrav - shield halves can be turned in to the Curator in the Varrock Museum without starting the quest or retrieving halves yourself. This will not progress the quest enough to turn it in until you retrieve your own shield half, however.
5. Shield of Arrav - Katrina does not remove the phoenix crossbows from your inventory when turning them in to her.
6. Shield of Arrav - Man does not remove the Intelligence Report when turning it in to him, though it's possible this is normal behavior since only Katrina's removal of the crossbows is called out previously.
7. Trade confirmation window does not close after both players accept, or the other player declines. (Verified this also occurs on the web client build.)

It is fixed. Cod was unaffected, since it was a specific typo in the bass script.

This is a difficult one. Authentically, you
should be able to climb
certain stairs through walls.

I'll see if I can either figure out what happened with 6 later and reproduce, or verify it was a goof (like I picked up 3 copies vs 2).
8. Merlin's Crystal - able to sneak on to the boat without distracting Arhein. I spam clicked, but I suspect it may be he wandered far enough away from the boat where I was out of "view". Not sure if that would be authentic or not.
9. Merlin's Crystal - Sir Mordred in Fort Grymwold drops bones when the last hit is made and Morgana interrupts combat. Resuming combat with him whether you press the second dialogue option or not (which does not insta-kill him), has him at seemingly 0 health, and he dies in one hit.
Note: Took a break from Merlin's Crystal so there may be additional issues reported for that quest once I leave Seers to continue it.
10. Higher quality bows have no ranged level requirements. Only able to test with oak short/long and willow short/long currently, but I am able to equip all 4 with 1 ranged. Have not tested shooting any higher tiered arrows with them or not, but solving the main issue would make that irrelevant. Earliest page I can quickly find for the new ranged items is from August 2002 (

I believe it is. Possibly not in as many cases, but I completed the quest without a helper on RSC.

11. Non-aggressive monsters that are set to block paths will attack the player after fleeing. Tested this with a level 33 character against druids (level 29), bears (level 24), and rats (level 8). Same result with all 3 when fleeing.
