Ulrike M - player journal
Ulrike is my normie 4x account (not a souped up mod thing or an ironwoman). She's the first account created. I'm just starting out doing some noobie quests, and saved up enough coins to get the game's first ever black battle axe.

Oh, and I found two bugs while playing. Nothing major though. Might have to be fishing some players out of the Al Kharid sea. lol

Upgraded the axe to addy and did some grinding - after some tests, darkwizards in the wilderness seem really good at this level.

Nice to read some journals! Keep it going. I myself enjoy even the normal and not so important details which gives the personal touch to the stories to I don't mind some wall of texts if you feel like it :P

Re: Ulrike M - player journal
So much news...
I've experimented with training crafting and smithing at the same time. In this version silver rocks are quite dispersed - the best spot is Edge dungeon, and you need quite high combat to avoid the aggressive mobs. I tried Al Kharid mine (quite okay actually) and Varrock East mine. Al Kharid mine was better for iron and silver, while Varrock East was better for coal and silver. I stayed at Al Kharid until I had enough Iron, then switched to Varrock when I needed coal.
I did Knight's Sword while having level 40 ish Smithing but not enough for Steel Plates. This turned out to be a good decision, it felt like it gave so many levels. 40s to 50s feels like a great time to do quests because it's right in the middle of the XP curve.
We did Shield of Arrav together and it was really cute.

I had a blast with the 4 of us doing Shield of Arrav together, really felt like the old days!
Agreed with doing knight's sword around 40 smithing or so, it helps push past those slower levels and gets you up to steel plates which are really nice for gp.

Continuing my crafting grind, with the first ever ruby amulet of strength made! I'm sure it'll be a while before the first diamond amulet is made. dance
